Washington Times on comics for girls
My usual opinion of The Washington Times aside, Comics for girls may save the biz is a nice overview of the changing times.
In other Washington-area newspaper news, The Northern Virginia Journal has a comics column every Wednesday (I believe it’s every Wednesday, anyway). You do have to download the entire day’s issue in PDF form, but it’s pretty good and it’s great to see a lot of space devoted to comics in such a mainstream publication.
The next generation
Comic book artists Sarah Dyer and Evan Dorkin had their baby girl last week (also read about it in Evan Dorkin’s journal). She’ll be one talented kid, seeing who her parents are.
