Not really comic book related (although a case can be made for an overlap of fans), but Stephanie Zacharek makes good counterpoints here (Salon.com article–requires registration or viewing of an ad) to Caryn James’ assertion that The Lord of the Rings is for men (New York Times–requires registration).  Same can be said for all genres and mediums of popular culture–comic books included.

Check out the profile of Blue Monday and Scooter Girl creator Chynna Clugston Major in the Winter ‘03 issue of Bust.  While it’s only one page, it has a cute picture of her and her office, as well as a nice write-up about her and Scooter Girl.
